Paid $12.99 for a coding app on my phone and learned nothing in 2 weeks

I saw a video that said this app would teach me Python in 10 minutes a day. I paid the $12.99 after the free trial. Two weeks later I could copy their little puzzles but I could not write one line on my own laptop. The app just had me drag blocks around, so I never learned to type real code. Did anyone else get fooled by those mobile learn to code apps, and what actually worked for you?
