The day my spacing bug deleted my mom's spreadsheet

Last Tuesday I spent 6 hours tracking down why a Python script kept wiping out rows in my mom's volunteer signup sheet. Turned out I used tabs instead of spaces in one loop, and pandas read it as empty data. She almost lost 3 months of schedules before I found the fix at 11 PM. Has anyone else had a tiny formatting thing wreck an entire project like that?
