My buddy told me my pour-over technique was burning the beans
He watched me pour water straight onto the center and said I was scorching it every time. I switched to pouring in slow circles around the edges and my coffee tastes way less bitter now - anyone else get that same critique?

Yeah your buddy was right, the "straight to the center" move is basically napalm for beans. I did that for like two years and wondered why my coffee tasted like regret. Switched to circling and now I only burn my tongue not the grounds.

Grind size matter way more than the pour method @barnes.shane.
