Rant: People need to stop washing their coffee beans before grinding them
I've seen three separate posts this month from folks saying they rinse their beans to 'remove dust' or whatever. I mean, that's just going to make your grinder clog and mess up your extraction every time. I tried it once as a test with my Baratza Encore and the grounds came out all clumpy and uneven. Wet beans also degrade faster and can grow mold if you don't dry them perfectly. Has anyone else noticed this becoming a trend or am I just seeing weird corners of the internet?

Eh, is this really worth getting worked up over? Some people do weird stuff with their coffee, it's not like they're hurting anyone but themselves.
