Rant: I thought surface supplied air was a dinosaur until I worked the Anacostia job
I always figured surface supply was for old timers and anything past 60 feet meant hard hat or nothing. Then we took a contract on the Anacostia River last March running a 4 inch suction line off a barge, and the tender kept us on the hose for six hour shifts with no chamber on site. Doing that kind of bottom time on scuba would have meant deco stops eating the whole day, so I get it now. Anybody else switch over on a river job and never look back?
