Appreciation post: I hit 60 fps on my old laptop and finally got why PC folks brag about settings
I had been playing everything on low at like 28 fps for 2 years and just accepted it as normal. Last Tuesday I dropped the resolution to 1600x900, turned off shadows, and suddenly I was sitting at a steady 60. The game felt completely different, like my aim got better overnight. I get now that consoles win on convenience but this one change made me see why people mess with settings at all. Does anyone else run weird low res just to keep the frames up?
