Dropped $180 on a used GPU fan mod kit last month and it actually fixed my overheating mess
My old card was hitting 83C in every game and I was about to just buy a whole new PC. Saw a guy on a forum selling a bracket plus two Noctua fans for $180, which felt dumb since I could almost put that toward a console. Installed it in my apartment here in Sacramento and now I'm sitting at 61C under full load, which sounds fake but the temp reader doesn't lie. So the question is, when do you just replace the card instead of throwing parts at it? Has anyone else done a fan swap and had it actually hold up?
