The joy of hitting 120fps on a 5 year old console game
I finally got my old Xbox One to run Halo 5 at a steady 120fps after fiddling with the display settings for two days. Turns out I had it hooked up to the wrong HDMI port the whole time, which was limiting the refresh rate. Anyone else find that one dumb setting holding back their performance on an older console?

@patricia_singh81 reminds me of my buddy Dave who spent a whole Saturday trying to figure out why his PC was running games like crap... turned out he had his monitor plugged into the motherboard instead of his graphics card. We still joke about it whenever he builds a new rig. At least you found the fix before you tore your hair out over a software reinstall.

lol imagine spending two days blaming your console when the real culprit was a mismatched HDMI port, classic tech support stuff right there. At least you didn't have to reinstall the whole game like some people do when they panic. Guess that's one way to rediscover the ancient art of plugging things in properly.
