Blew a $1200 amp at a house show in Charlotte last Friday

Band kicked in too hard and my vintage Fender amp started smoking mid-set. Had to finish the whole set through a busted practice amp that sounded like a bee in a tin can. Anybody else ever cooked their gear on stage?

Was it the output transformer or something simpler like a tube red plating?

Did you check the bias supply first or just pull tubes?
