Tried the 24 hour news blackout for one weekend and came back to a totally different story
Last weekend I turned off every news app and alert on my phone, just 48 hours of nothing, no headlines, no push alerts, nothing. When I checked back on Sunday night, three of the stories I had been following had completely changed shape, one had quietly vanished, and a clip I saw shared 200 times on Saturday was edited from a longer video. It got me thinking about how much of any debate is just whoever posted first setting the frame while everyone else reacts. I started saving screenshots of stories at the time they drop, then comparing them a few days later, and the difference is wild. I'm not saying every shift is some cover-up, but I learned I can't argue a point if I only saw the first 6 hours of it. Has anyone else tried stepping away for a bit and noticed how fast the narrative moves while you're gone?
