Change orders used to mix up my teams until I tried this

Now I make a point to review every change with the foreman before the end of the day. It stops small issues from blowing up into big delays.

Learned that lesson the hard way myself. Used to let change notes pile up on my desk for a week, and by Friday it was a huge mess of confused guys and wrong materials. Getting the foreman to sign off on a daily summary sheet changed everything. It makes the paper trail real and settles any "he said, she said" before it starts. Now my crew knows what they're walking into each morning and I actually sleep at night.

Totally get that "sleep at night" feeling now.

That "sleep at night" feeling might just mean you're drowning in paperwork instead of real problems.
