PSA: That $300 "industrial" moisture meter I bought off Amazon was a total dud
Honestly, I was super skeptical about my old $40 meter giving me wrong readings on a concrete slab in Phoenix. But last month I dropped $300 on a fancy digital one with all these settings, thinking it'd be legit. First test on a dry wall gave me a 28% reading, which is impossible. Turns out the calibration was off right out of the box, and I wasted a whole afternoon rechecking everything with my old cheap one. Has anyone else had a high-end tool totally fail on day one?

Send it back and grab a cheap pinless one, they rarely mess up like that.
