Super got onto me about sending daily progress reports to the client

Last month my superintendent pulled me aside after a morning meeting. Said my daily reports were useless. Just listed work done but no context. He asked me to add three things: weather conditions, manpower count, and any material delays. Changed the whole way I write them now. Client actually called to say thanks for the first time ever. Anyone else tweak their reporting after getting chewed out?

Wait wait wait, the client actually called to say thanks?? That's wild! I've been sending morning reports for like 2 years and never got any feedback at all, good or bad. Your super must have really nailed those three things cause weather and material delays is exactly what the higher-ups want to see down the line.

Nah, that feedback's just fluff. Daily reports should stay boring, facts only.
