That time a client told me my submittal schedule was useless and they were right
They said I was just copying dates from the prime contract without accounting for actual review turnaround times, so now I build in 5 business days minimum on every submittal and it cut our resubmittal rate in half, anybody else have to learn this the hard way?

Five days? That's nothing. I had a client once who told me my submittal schedule was useless because I forgot to account for the three day weekend their entire office took for a local festival nobody else in the state had heard of. Turns out "Fiesta Days" is sacred in that town. Now I ask every new client if they have any weird holidays before I even open their contract. That one mistake cost me two weeks of resubmittals and a very long email from the GC.
