DAE remember when you had to just hope a contractor was decent?
Back in 2009 I hired a guy in Tucson to redo my mom's bathroom based on nothing but a handshake and one phone number, and he actually showed up every day for 3 weeks. These days I won't sign anything until I've read at least 20 reviews going back a year, and honestly that saved me from a roofer in Mesa who had 5 stars from what turned out to be his own cousins. Anyone else find that the online stuff mostly works now, or do you still just go on gut?
