My neighbor Ray in Toledo told me to stop reading reviews on the contractor's own website
Ray has been a general contractor for 28 years and he said the reviews on a company's own site are hand picked, so they never show the bad jobs. He told me to check Google and the BBB instead, and to look for reviews that mention a specific project like a roof or a bathroom remodel. I did that for a deck builder near me and found 3 complaints about callbacks that were nowhere on his site. Where do you all go to find reviews that actually tell the truth?
