That $50 epoxy flooring kit from the hardware store was a total scam
I tried to refinish my garage floor with one of those cheaper kits and it peeled up within 3 months where the car tires hit. Has anyone else had luck with a specific brand that actually holds up to hot tires?

That same thing happened to me with a big box store kit, peeled right up where the tires sat. You need a 100% solids epoxy if you want it to last, not the water based stuff in those cheap kits. Rust-Oleum RockSolid held up for about a year before it started showing wear in my case. Legit polyurea or polyaspartic coatings are what the pros use, but they cost way more and you gotta prep the concrete right with a grinder first.

My buddy tried that exact same thing. Said it looked like a peeling sunburn after two months.
