Warning: a guy in the pickup line at my kid's school said ratings sites only show the angry folks
He said he's a plumber and has 200 happy customers for every one who leaves a review, so the star score never tells the full story. Now I call and ask for three recent references from the work they actually did, and two of the three guys I checked out had no reviews at all but great word of mouth. How do you all weigh a thin review page against a solid reference?
