My derm talked me out of filler at 34 and I still think she was wrong about the timing

Last Tuesday at a clinic in Scottsdale I went in for 1 syringe of lip filler and the nurse practitioner spent 20 minutes telling me to wait until my mid 40s because 'it looks better when you start later.' I have been reading that community for 8 months and almost everyone there says start early and build slow, so I paid the $150 consult fee and walked out with nothing. Has anyone else been talked out of a procedure by the person who would have made $600 off it?
