Spent $60 on a writing prompt app and it actually got me to finish a story
I bought the 'Story Engine' app last month, thinking it was another waste of cash. It gave me a prompt about a lighthouse keeper finding a message in a bottle, and I wrote a full 3,000 word piece for the first time in years. Do you think paying for prompts is worth it, or is free stuff just as good?

Wow, sixty bucks for a story idea... I guess that's cheaper than a creative writing class, but still. If it actually got you to finish something, maybe it was worth it. The free stuff never seems to stick with me the same way... I just end up scrolling forever.

Ever try those free prompt sites? I mean, paying for something just makes me actually use it, maybe it's just me but free stuff feels disposable.
