Paid $89 for a credit repair webinar and got nothing but generic advice

I signed up for this online course from a guy who promised to show me how to remove late payments myself. Spent $89 and three evenings watching videos that basically said 'dispute everything and hope it sticks.' No templates, no legal citations, nothing I couldn't find for free on Reddit. Has anyone else wasted money on these so-called credit experts, or did I just pick a bad one?

My buddy dropped $150 on one of those credit bootcamps last year and the "secret strategy" was literally just filing disputes through the credit bureau websites. He was SO mad, said the guy spent an hour talking about his own credit score like it was a flex. Honestly felt bad for him but also kinda laughed because people keep falling for this stuff.
