Ditched my password manager after a scare, now I'm back to a physical notebook

Last month my password manager auto-filled the wrong login on a phishing site and I almost gave up my bank info. Turns out the fake page was using a lookalike domain, and that tool didn't catch it. I've been handwriting my passwords in a locked drawer notebook ever since, but I'm wondering if that's actually safer long term. Anyone else had a near miss like this and stuck with paper?

Ha, funny you say that because I had almost the exact same thing happen. It was some fake Google login page, looked spot on, and my password manager just dumped my credentials in without a second thought. I caught it at the last second, but it shook me up so bad I switched to a paper list in my safe for about six months. Honestly, the only downside is when I need a password while I'm out somewhere, I have to remember it or wait until I get home, but I'll take that over getting cleaned out any day. Paper doesn't get hacked, plain and simple.
