Got a fake phishing test email at a job site and clicked the link anyway

I was on a roof in Daytona last Thursday, sweating through my shirt, and got a text that looked like it was from my bank saying my account was frozen. I clicked without thinking. Turned out the whole crew got it. One guy lost his login to our scheduling app that way. Now I tell everyone on my team to pause and call the number on the back of their card first. Anyone else fall for something like that and have a system to stop it now?

Nah, the bank would text you to call them, not just drop a link like that.

Yeah but that's the thing though, how many times have people gotten a legit text from their bank that looked exactly like a scam? I've seen Capital One send out links for fraud alerts before, it's not as cut and dry as people think. What about all those people who've been trained to just click and verify because the bank themselves keeps normalizing it? It feels like the line between what's a scam and what's real is getting blurrier by the day, don't you think that's part of the problem here?
