Pro tip: Google Maps knew about a weigh station I passed daily for 11 years

I was parked at a rest stop outside Flagstaff killing time and poked around the app's truck layer. Turns out there's a scale about 2 miles east I never noticed because I always take the frontage road. I've driven that stretch since 2014 and the signs blend into the billboard clutter, so I never questioned it. Found out when my dispatcher mentioned it on a call, but I verified it myself on the map. Anyone else had a route staple that took them a decade to spot?

The part about "signs blend into the billboard clutter" got me. My buddy drove the same stretch of I-80 through Iowa for years. One day his GPS rerouted him past a grain elevator that had a full scale and pit right behind it. He said he'd been parking his truck at that elevator lot every week to sleep, never once looked over the fence. Found out when a farmer asked him to move so he could pull a loaded trailer through.
