Just realized I was training clients wrong for 3 years
I had this client, Dave, who kept complaining his knees hurt during squats. I kept telling him to push through it, work on mobility, all that stuff. After 6 months of this, he switched trainers and the first thing she asked was why he was squatting in running shoes. That was the moment I figured out I'd been ignoring the basics for way too long. Has anyone else had a boss or coworker point out something obvious you'd been missing the whole time?

Three years? I read that and my jaw just dropped. That's like a mechanic telling someone their engine is knocking when they've just got a flat tire. The running shoes thing is so basic it hurts, but I get how you can get tunnel vision when you're in your own little world of "fixing" people. I bet Dave walks past you in the parking lot now and just gives you a side eye. Good on you for owning it though, most people would just double down.

I get what you're saying, but I actually kind of see it the other way. Three years of bad advice is rough, absolutely, but isn't it just as impressive that someone finally caught it? Most people would've just kept nodding along.
