Rant: My landlord wants me to decide on a 3-year lease renewal by Friday

I've been in this apartment in Austin for 2 years now, rent went up $150 last time and they're hinting at another hike. The place has mold in the bathroom and they take a week to fix anything. Do I lock in for three more years or start hunting for a new spot and risk paying even more?

Well, they can't legally force you to decide that fast in Texas, so you've got more time than they're telling you.
