Lost $400 on a coworking membership I barely used in Chiang Mai
Back in March I signed up for a fancy coworking space in Chiang Mai called Punspace. Paid $400 upfront for a three month membership because I thought it would force me to be productive. Turns out I only went there like 6 times total. The wifi was fine but the AC was always too cold and the chairs hurt my back. I ended up working from cafes and my apartment way more often. Now I'm stuck with two months left on a membership I'll never use. Has anyone else burned cash on a coworking deal that sounded better than it actually was?

Wait, have you tried selling the remaining time to someone else? That's what I did when I found myself in a similar situation. Honestly I used to think coworking memberships were ALWAYS worth it because you're paying for a productive environment. But after getting burned on one myself, I realized the hype is mostly about making you FEEL like a serious business person. The reality is that most of us just end up working wherever is comfortable that day. You live and you learn I guess.

Selling the leftover time is actually a solid move... I did the same thing with a month to month plan I couldn't get out of. Posted on a local Facebook group for remote workers and found someone who needed a desk for a week. They paid me half of what I was paying, I got something back, and they got a cheap spot to work. It beat just eating the whole cost for sure.
