My 'quick' tile backsplash turned into a 4 day nightmare

I figured I could knock out a small kitchen backsplash in an afternoon, lmao. The tiles were fine, but the adhesive was a total mess and I kept getting it everywhere. It took me a full day just to clean the excess off the counter and wall. The spacers kept slipping, so I had to redo a whole section twice. What should have been a 6 hour job ended up taking four entire days of work. Anyone have a better method for keeping those tiny mosaic tiles straight?

That laser level trick saved my last backsplash project too.

Use a laser level and tape it to the wall. It's a game changer for keeping those small tiles straight. A little more setup time saves so much headache later.
