I was drinking a cola on a job and it leaked through a crack, showing me exactly where the floor wasn't level.

That's a rough way to find a problem. Liquid always finds the lowest point, no hiding from it. Makes for a sticky mess and a clear fix list.

Where does the liquid end up pooling? It might show weak spots in the structure itself, not just pipe leaks. That turns a messy find into a full system check.
