The neighbor's security camera caught me talking to myself in the driveway at 2am
I was rewatching The Ring alone last Saturday and got this creeping feeling that Samara might be behind me. Around 3 hours later when I went to grab my mail I jumped at my own shadow and started muttering about the tape. Has anyone else had a movie scene stick with you so bad you catch yourself looking over your shoulder for days?

Nah man you're not crazy, but here's the thing nobody talks about with horror movies - it's the audio that messes you up way worse than the visuals. The Ring had that distorted static sound and the creepy phone ringing noise that literally sticks in your brain for days. Your brain starts playing those sounds back at random times like a glitchy radio station. Plus security cameras have that grainy black and white look which is basically The Ring aesthetic anyway lol. I guarantee if you watch something like The Conjuring 2 instead next time you'll catch yourself staring at dark corners for a week but at least you won't be doing weird stuff in your driveway at 2am.

That "audio messes you up worse than visuals" part is the real truth. Your brain is hardwired to react to sounds way before it processes what you're seeing. That's why that phone ringing from The Ring still makes people uncomfortable years later.
