Think back to what cost you the most... was it one big thing or lots of little ones? Like that time I bought a cheap laptop that died in a month, forcing me to buy a new one. diana314's examples hit home, but I wonder if every expensive mistake needs to be a huge lesson. Last year, I forgot to renew my car registration and paid a $200 late fee that felt massive at the time. Now it's just a blip on the radar! Maybe some things are just costly blunders, not life-changing teachings.
