I mean yeah that's the worst, a barista once knew my dog's name and I never wear anything with it on? Like how.

It's weird when workers notice personal details out of nowhere. My barista once asked about my cat's vet visit after overhearing me on the phone. A grocery clerk knew I was baking a cake because I bought flour and frosting together. They must pay close attention to regulars. It feels like you're always being watched in small talks. That kind of memory can be nice but also kinda invasive.
