Graphic design ad colors got me rethinking my whole living room

I saw a poster with an awesome color combo and now I want to match my cushions to it. But I'm not sure how to balance it with the rest of the room. Any advice on pulling this off?

Actually, try paint samples of those colors first to see if you can even live with them daily.

Yeah, and don't just look at the sample once. Live with it for a few days to see how it feels at different times. Ever notice how a color can look great in daylight but weird under lamps?
