Warning: I used to scroll past those vids until a quiet lunch changed everything
I always skipped oddly satisfying clips, thinking they were just background noise. Then at lunch, a friend showed one of those marble run videos with the perfect drops and clicks. We all got silent, just watching... it was so awkward but then we started laughing at how into it we were. That moment of everyone zoning out together was actually really nice. Now I get why people share them, it's like a tiny break from real life. That specific video with the blue marbles hitting just right... it stuck with me.

That blue marbles moment, what made it so satisfying?

Honestly it works because the set-up was so quiet you almost missed it... then it comes back and just clicks into place. Reminds me of when a tiny prep step makes the whole paint job come together later. @claire_wilson54 was right to ask about the payoff, because that moment only lands if you did the earlier work without making a big deal about it. Feels earned, not just flashy.
