Crack open a cold one and cry into it cause that’s about all you can do now. Texas law is pretty clear on that 14 day window and landlords there love to hold onto your cash like it’s their own personal savings account. I’d still send a certified letter asking for it back just to make them work for stealing your money. Did you take move in photos at least so you can argue deductions or are you just hoping they forget?

Sending that certified letter actually worked for me once! Just having the paper trail made them cough up my deposit real quick.
