Swapped coilovers for air ride after 8 years of stiff springs

I used to run BC Racing coilovers on my MK4 GTI back in 2018 and I swore by that harsh, slammed look. Every pothole felt like a kidney punch but I thought that was just part of the game. Fast forward to last summer when I moved to Phoenix and the roads here are absolutely brutal, I was dodging cracks and dips constantly. My buddy convinced me to try a used Air Lift 3P kit I found on Craigslist for $600 and I finally installed it in January. The ride quality is night and day, I can actually drive around without cringing at every bump now. But I miss the immediate steering response you get from coils, there is a tiny delay with the bags that bugs me sometimes. Has anyone else gone from coils to air and felt that same hesitation in the corners?

Cranked up my air pressure to 120psi helped a ton with that delay.
