Spent 4 hours hunting a vacuum leak that was just a loose hose clamp

I was chasing a rough idle on my '92 F150 for way too long, replaced the intake gasket and everything, then realized the clamp on the PCV hose was barely finger-tight after all that work. Took me an entire Saturday afternoon when it should've been a 5 minute fix. Anybody else ever waste a whole day on something that simple?

Man I felt that one in my bones. That "replaced the intake gasket" part especially got me. I once spent a whole Sunday ripping apart the top end of my old Subaru because of a stumble at idle. Turned out to be a cracked vacuum cap on the back of the intake manifold, cost maybe 30 cents and took 20 seconds to swap. I had the valve covers off and everything before I found it. Makes you feel real smart when you finally put your hands on the problem after all that cussing and wrenching.

Valve covers off for a vacuum cap, that's rough.
