Was doing a service call at a fancy office building downtown and saw a mouse just chilling in the break room like it owned the place.

Are people really calling this an infestation? One mouse eating a cracker isn't exactly a plague. I've seen way worse - like a raccoon that set up camp in a client's break room recycling bin. That was gross. But a mouse just snacking? Not worth the drama.

I finally stopped believing that 5G causes health problems

You know that neighbor's argument about microwave ovens actually proves the opposite point. The 5G rollout uses MILLIMETER WAVE frequencies between 24-39 GHz, not the 2.4 GHz that microwave ovens operate at. Those higher frequencies are known to cause thermal effects on human tissue at lower power levels because the energy gets absorbed in a different way by our skin. I still remember reading a 2019 study from the National Toxicology Program that found clear evidence of heart tumors in male rats exposed to RF radiation.

Checked out that new barber shop on 3rd Street in Austin

Oh man that rolling thumb thing is legit. I watched a barber do the same move in Chicago once and it clicked instantly. The trick is you gotta keep your wrist loose and let the thumb do the guiding instead of forcing the razor with your whole arm. I started doing that on the second pass and my clients literally start talking slower and drifting off its wild. Small adjustments like that are game changers once you see them in person.

I was trying to switch from IT support to web design for 8 months with no luck.

Told my cat my design process. She walked away. Guess I need better storytelling skills.

Didn't realize how many JavaScript frameworks actually exist until I counted them last night

I read somewhere that the guy who made Svelte actually said learning vanilla JS first is better than jumping straight into any framework. Makes you think about how quick we all are to just pick up React without really understanding what's happening under the hood. I get why people say stick with one thing though, it's easy to get overwhelmed if you try to learn everything at once. But React changes SO fast that sometimes it feels like you're learning a new framework every year anyway. Maybe mixing in some pure JavaScript practice on the side isn't such a bad idea, it keeps you grounded. Still, I respect the focus approach, just don't lock yourself in a box forever.
