Caught my boss's side hustle at a gas station off exit 12

I pulled up to pump gas around 6 AM last Tuesday and saw my manager selling homemade jerky out of his trunk, which was awkward because I was calling in sick that day. He gave me a free bag and now I'm wondering if I should ask him for tips on scaling it, anyone else ever bump into their boss doing the same escape plan?
