The day I invoiced $4,200 and still felt broke

Last Tuesday I closed three small roofing jobs back to back, finally had a killer week on paper. But after materials, fuel, and paying my guy, I pocketed maybe $340 and realized I basically traded my whole week for a part time paycheck. Has anyone else done the math on their side hustle and felt like they'd be better off just doing overtime at the day job?
