inBack in Naples, the espresso bars felt different before the tourists came
Man, my buddy Marco told me about this exact thing. He went back to visit family and his favorite spot, this tiny place run by an old guy named Franco, was gone. Franco just poured straight shots, no menus, and it was like a buck. Now it's some sleek cafe charging five euros for a frothy drink in a glass.

inSwitching to local beef made me think about our environmental impact.
My beef comes from a ranch 50 miles away instead of a factory farm 1500 miles off. The methane's still bad, but cutting out that transport haul matters.

inMy blunt take on the Voynich Manuscript led to a family feud.
Honestly how did you even bring that up at Thanksgiving? My cousin tried to say it was alien plant diagrams last year and my aunt just kept passing the mashed potatoes in silence. Next time maybe say it looks like a messed up herbal guide or a fake star chart, stuff that sounds smart but won't start a war. Tbh it's safer to just agree the bikini babes in the drawings are weird and change the subject.

inVent: This half-done deck stain job is mocking me every time I step outside.
Exactly, it's that exact moment of overcommitment. @aaron806 has a point about what made them stop, but for me it's bigger. You see this everywhere, people biting off more than they can chew because they only picture the perfect finished thing. Then reality hits, like the sun going down or your back hurting, and you just walk away. It creates these little pockets of guilt all over our homes and lives. The worst part is now you have to look at your own bad choice every single day.
