Looking at my old half-built guitar amp from 2018 in the garage
Getting laid off from the music shop in Nashville made me realize I was building it for a job I didn't even want, so I just stopped.

My buddy had a whole woodworking shop in his basement he just stopped using... said it reminded him of trying to please his dad. He finally sold the tools last year and turned the space into a home theater. Said it was like getting rid of a ghost.

Always thought keeping that kind of stuff was about respect, but @ward.fiona your buddy's story makes total sense. A home theater for his own joy sounds way better than a basement full of bad memories. Good for him, turning a sad room into a fun one.
