Pro tip: That $40 fancy paint roller I bought totally saved my basement mural project

Honestly, I've been dragging my feet on this basement mural for six months because I kept messing up the edges. I finally caved and bought this pricey microfiber roller set for $40 at a hardware store near me, and it changed everything. The paint goes on so smooth and even, no streaks or weird lines like with the cheap foam rollers I was using before. It soaked up just enough paint to cover a big section without dripping all over the floor, which used to drive me crazy. I finished the whole back wall in one afternoon, and it actually looks like something I'd hang in a gallery. Ngl, I was ready to just paint it all white and give up, but this thing pulled me back into it. Has anyone else found a tool that made you actually want to finish a project that felt dead in the water?

Glad it worked out. What paint did you use with it?

You asked about paint - I went with Benjamin Moore's Aura, mostly because I'm a sucker for fancy marketing. My logic was basically "if I'm going to mess this up, at least I'll use the expensive stuff." Your mileage may vary of course, but it laid down nicely enough that my shaky hands didn't leave too many visible crimes.
