PSA: my abandoned app hit 1,000 downloads this week and the guilt made me delete the repo instead of finishing it
I started a little meal prep app back in 2022, got it to maybe 60 percent done, and forgot about it until a friend asked me about it. I checked the Play Store page and it had 1,000 downloads from a single sketchy promo post in 2023, and instead of feeling pumped I just archived the repo because strangers were using a broken thing I gave up on. Has anyone here ever had a dead project get traffic or users out of nowhere, and did it push you to finish it or run the other way?
