inThat $40 laser level made me eat my words on cheap tools
Ever notice how the cheap stuff that works always makes you question the expensive stuff you bought before? I had a $15 stud finder do the same thing to me last spring. It found every single stud behind my plaster walls, even the ones my old $80 detector missed completely. I ended up trusting it so much I hung a heavy wall cabinet with it, and three months later it's still holding up fine. Kind of makes you wonder what else we're overpaying for out there.

inThe onboarding ghost files I found in the shared drive saved my first week
Fourteen files is a lot to call luck, but honestly it sounds like you just found the one person who actually labeled things right. I'd say give it a week before you call it a system, your old coworker might have just been weirdly organized.

inThat crane job on 5th street made me quit topping trees forever
Is it possible that "topping" was the only honest bid and the rest of you are just overcharging?

inCMBS special servicer said my property was 'overimproved', what does that even mean?
Did the servicer actually walk the property, or is this from a desk review?
