That advice about logging every hour backfired on my timelapse project
A guy on a film forum told me to log each shoot hour in a spreadsheet so I could track my progress on a 6 month nature timelapse. I did it for 3 weeks and realized I was spending more time logging than actually filming. The spreadsheet showed I averaged 1.2 hours of setup per 10 minutes of usable footage. I trashed the log and went back to just shooting, and my output doubled in one weekend. Has anyone else hit a point where tracking the project kills the project itself?
