My neighbor said he patches his swamp cooler every spring instead of replacing it, got me thinking
Honestly last month my neighbor in Albuquerque told me he just re-patches his swamp cooler pan every April instead of dropping $900 on a new one, and he's been doing it for 6 years now. I always figured you replace the whole unit once it starts rusting through, but he says a $12 tube of sealer and an afternoon gets him through another summer every time. Tbh I'm not sure if that's smart or just putting off the bill, so has anyone here actually patched a rusted pan and had it hold up, or did it leak all over your roof in July?
