Just realized I spent 4 years trying to find a 'couple friends' and all it took was one boring Tuesday
Back in 2021 my wife and I started this whole hunt for a couple to hang with, and I treated it like a job search. We tried a couples meetup group in Fort Worth, drove 40 minutes to a game night twice, and even did one of those friend matching apps, total waste of a Saturday. Last month our neighbor asked if we wanted to grab tacos on a random Tuesday, and now we do it almost weekly with zero planning. The thing that took 4 years was me thinking friendship had to be an official thing with matching schedules and shared hobbies. It was really just showing up next door and saying yes instead of overthinking it. Has anyone else found their grown-up friends in the most random place, and did it feel weird at first?
