Question about the 5 friend limit thing I read in a magazine at my dentist's office
I was sitting in the chair waiting for a cleaning last Tuesday and flipped through an old psychology magazine that said most people can only keep up with about 5 close friends at once. Not 5 total friends, 5 that you actually lean on. I always felt bad that I have a big group from college but really only call 3 of them, and this made me feel way less weird about it. My wife is the opposite, she keeps up with like 12 people every week and makes it look easy. I guess I'm wondering if the 5 number feels true to you all or if it's just some made up stat. How many people would you say you could call at 11pm on a bad night?
