Am I the only one who switched from the grocery store app to a paper list on the fridge and saved $80?
For the past year I did all my shopping through the store app, and I kept adding things I did not need because the deals tab was right there. Last month I taped a plain sheet of paper to the fridge and wrote down only what we were out of, then shopped once on Saturday morning at the store on Maple. My bill came to $112 when it usually runs close to $190, and I did not throw away half a bag of wilted spinach for once. The paper list meant I had to walk to the kitchen to add something, so I actually thought about it first. Has anyone else noticed the app was the thing making them buy more?
